EMPLOYEE
Employees: The L plus H family

L plus H is a company of the community – our people are our raison d'etre.
“Ruthless with time, but graceful with people"

L plus H is essentially a platform that brings together hearts and minds from different corners of society to collaborate and help make our community a better place. We blend our social missions with daily operation that is powered by cool heads with warm hearts.

Firm Building

We believe that our employees’ personal development is as important as technical skills improvement. Individuals from all kinds of background have helped enrich the lives of our employees through contributing their expertise to our business or supporting events such as our luncheon talks for the employees. These luncheon talks cover a wide range of interests from popular health topics by social workers, appreciation of documentary films and discussion with Oscar-winning Best Documentary Film Director Ruby Yang, family communication by marriage counselor Shirley Loo 羅乃萱, to positive outlook of life by film director Alfred Cheung 張堅庭 to the financial commentator Cho Chi-Ming 曹仁超.

Wellness

We also believe in the importance of mind and body wellness. L plus H Fashion is part of a Corporate Wellness Partnership Program where doctors give periodic talks that could raise our staff’s health awareness towards various kinds of diseases as we believe that “early detection” is crucial to avoiding and curing life-threatening disease. Pfizer Corporation Hong Kong has supported our staff wellness program by providing measurement of blood pressure and body mass index, as well as health education materials on vascular health & weight management.

Doing Good

In turn, the employees of L plus H are also a force for good. Together, we touch the lives of many in the community as we spearhead an annual charity sweater project by distributing 10,000 pieces of sweaters to the most under-served people. Many people have enthusiastically participated in kind or in cash: yarn mills donate raw materials; some donate cash of $100 per piece; L plus H donates part of the production cost and all administrative cost. Dozens of resource-deprived grassroot non-profit organizations are selected to distribute sweaters to the hidden elders, single-parent families and poor children living in sub-divided units (劏房) etc. We organize some field trips for our sponsors to participate in the distribution process where they and their little kids learn to care for the needy.

We also participated in community services such as charity walkathon to raise funds for the Community Chest. For some of our employees, the 2km-walk on the East Corridor from Victoria Park to Tai Koo Shing took them to parts of Hong Kong that they had never visited before!

Extended family

We held after-school tutorial program for our employees’ kids at the factory canteen. High school students and social workers volunteered to tutor the children while their parents worked at the factory.
